GET INTO ACTION COMMITTEE
The Get Into Action Committee is an independent group of AA members whose goal is to foster collaboration among online groups, to encourage group service, and to help grow AA online. Learn more about GIA here.
We appreciate everyone who took part in our Sharing Session on February 8, titled "Closing the Gap: How Do We Make the Voice of Every Online AA Group Count?". You can find details about the session on our 2025 Events page. Events prior to 2025 can be found on our Archives page.
If you're looking to get involved in supporting online groups with their 12-Step work and connecting with A.A. as a whole, consider volunteering with us on our current projects. We have three initiatives underway. The first involves creating a brief multimedia presentation that explains how an online group operates, how to start a new group, and how to connect each group to A.A. The second project is focused on proposing modifications to revise the online group/meeting section found in the Internet Guidelines. Lastly, we are working on filling the gap in guidance for online districts by developing a comprehensive guide.
These are all great service opportunities for A.A. members who are looking for a way to give back to this life-saving program. For more information, please see our Project page.
If you would like to be involved, or have any questions, please email us at: getintoactioncommittee@gmail.com
